Dr. Fahad K. Alwahhabi

Dr. Al-Wahhabi currently holds several positions at the King Fahad Medical City, he is the head of the International and local Cooperation office (since 2011) and Chairman of Mental Health Department (since 2010) and Geriatric Psychiatry Consultant (since 2010).

Prior to joining King Fahad Medical City, Dr. Al-Wahhabi held several positions such as Head of Psychiatry Department at King Saud University, College of Medicine (2007-2009), and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at King Saud University, College of Medicine (2004-2010), and a part-time consultant at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh (2005-2010), a doctor and scholarship at King Saud University, College of Medicine (1997-2003) and a Resident Doctor, Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh (1996-1997).

Dr. Al-Wahhabi holds a Clinical Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry from the University of Ottawa, Canada (July 2001 - June 2003) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada) (July 1997 - June 2001) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, King Saud University, College of Medicine (September 1988 - May 1995).

Dr. Al-Wahhabi has many volunteer activities, he is a board member of the Saudi Society for Alzheimer’s Disease and the Chairman of the Committee of Patient Care, and a founding member of the Saudi Association for Alzheimer’s Disease

He held many interviews through the media in order to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and mental disorders.

Dr. Al-Wahhabi published several research in refereed journals, and got the Scientific Excellence Award from the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Canada in 2000.
